Greeting in the wonderful name of Jesus,
Ministry has been going well over the past month we have made some progress with Chankosa and making steps to see that we can build towards sustainability with school and clinic. They have been running a couple years now it has really become huge part of the frame work of the community and they do well to keep it going.
We have embarked upon couple small building projects the first a grocery or as they call the tuck-shop. Fairly straight forward plan they essentially trading grocery items we buy goods wholesale in town, then on sold with about 30% mark up and the proceeds go to run the school etc.
Our second project is an essential one, we have 200+ children in the school plus people coming to clinic every day with very poor toilet facilities so in short we are embarking on the construction of a toilet block simply because it is needed. I really could use your help to buy cement etc.
A big Thank You to those who Dug deep and with the grocery store construction we are just at point where the need for the toilet facility needs attention sooner than later. Trust me it easier to raise funds for a class room or clinic than a toilet. 30 people giving 20 dollars will buy the cement we need you can hit the “Donate now” button I will know what it’s for.
This is the current toilet block for Chankosa though there is nothing wrong with the African long drop but it’s just not built for what is really needed.
The container to Zambia is on the water so we would appreciate your prayers as it travel across the ocean and across land it has an eta in the port of 18th August and we should see it arrive in kabwe between 30th August and 25th September.
We are excited not only for the lifesaving medical equipment but the 1000’s of school packs, 500 sanitary packs for the women in prisons in Zambia, 1000’s of baby packs. This container will literally impact 3000 plus lives directly and thousands more through the hospital equipment.
On the home front we reminded that despite the improvements in Zambia we are still in Africa, we are having daily load shedding where we lose power for 5 hours every day and after a month it starts to feel normal the goodness we know typically when we will lose power and can plan around it. I encourage myself that I get do to do earth hour 5 times every day.
Misheck is in the lukunga swamps fish trading/discipleship and its going well the cold weather has slowed fishing down but when a load of fish comes in it sell fast and can be sold within a day
It been great to see good business and marketing lessons being learnt and takes that step closer to going beyond sustainability to the point where expansion is possible. Within the whole process Misheck is still an evangelist at heart and discipleship and outreaches continue and the men he works with are growing in God as he spend time with them.
In between outreaches and church planting carries on recently several 100 people responding to the alter Cal and others came the following day for deliverance and follow-up. Our heart is as the fish business grows as it the more outreaches, church plants and discipleship training Misheck can do. So fishing for fish so he can fish for men.
