10 Weeks in Zambia,
By now Our friends J&T will be back into normal Australian life but I know something inside has changed, many lives here in Zambia will be changed forever and they will be missed and I will be asked often how they are and when they are coming again.
Their adventure started with an outreach on a new church plant on the outskirts of Kabwe, we herd a testiomny from the Pastor one women had brought her child for healing she was praid for and made a full recover from an on going problem has since become member of that church.
Spending 4 days most weeks between the schools at Chankosa and Kangnomba they have built a special bond with many of the children. J being a teacher just slotted in when a teacher was away she just stood up and took on the class. The children not only got lesson and learnt new learning skills but over the weeks they all made bracelets of the wordless bible and learnt each part of the Gospel.
T is going to study nursing next year she had the opportunity to do some work on of the clinic days at Chankosa and also meet other nursing students while doing hospital ministry I am sure it has put something inside of her for passion for others an no matter what your surrounding look like you can make a difference.
For me it’s the smiles on the face that tells the testimonies, this was an experience not only for the children but for J&T as well.
Though doing ministry or teaching, preaching, sharing the gospel or going to the hospital can be confronting but stretching the faith is always good sometimes there is the opportunity to meet new life but other times it important just to be there for others when life is lost. But being there is what’s important and that in itself can make a difference to that person to know someone cares and God is not that big he can’t see your pain.
So I am sharing these photos with you today to encourage you. Often we look at “what can I do? “Or “what I can’t do” but sometimes just being there is what someone needs. We can all do that.
Not everyone can come for 10 weeks for you it might be two weeks but it will change the lives of many and amazingly yours as well.
