“At 4 Months Pregnant the mother was rushed to Hospital, the Doctors deemed necessary to abort the child to save the mother’s life BUT there was a Chaplain, There is a God who heals, Now there is healthy Baby and mother”. This why we do what we do!
This is a miracle baby, the mother of this child was rushed to hospital when she was 4 month pregnant, she was suffering from extreme PET (Pre-eclampsia toxemia) the diagnosis was bad, in this extreme case the Dr’s decided that life of mother was under imminent threat and the took the hard decision to abort the baby for medical reasons. The mother both scared and desperate cried out to God and Chaplain and her team was called in to Pray. Almost instantly all symptom reduced the ultra-high blood pressure came down protein in the urine reduced. Today we have this bundle of Joy and the mother is well. This is one of the daily testimonies that happen in the life of Hospital Chaplain.
As Ministry with the help of Operation lift we open the doors of Hospitals for Chaplains, In Kabwe we see our local Hospital have the lowest bed occupancy rates and faster recovery times this class hospital in the country the monthly report we get show that over 80% of the people that come to hospital get healed and discharged.
For the Past few year we have been working with Pastor Chileqwa of Ndola Rock of Hope Church (former Kabwe General Hospital chaplain) by donating equipment to Ndola central Hospital and Arthur Davidse Children Hospital.
Recently Pastor chilqwa hosted a training conference for the churches across Ndola, they had over 100 people come for training and now have a chaplain’s team ministering every Sunday of 50 plus people representing 15 churches and 3 ministries. Because just like the case of the miracle baby there is limit to medicine as we say “medicine treats but Jesus heals”.
Now In Ndola central Hospital there is an old chapel, but it needs repair it has been given to the chaplain team for their use but also to run regular services at the hospital to go beyond the ward visitations for patients but service the staff of the Hospital and family members of patients and really extend the impact of the ministry into the Hospital.
The chapel can seat over 200 people and is right in the middle of the Hospital But it needs maintenance,
This is my appeal we need 1500 dollars for material’s (paint, ceiling boards etc), praise God we have been offered free labor
All it would take is 15 people/churches/home groups giving 100 and this job is done. But every little bit help, as really want make Jesus a welcomes and active member of this Hospital. This open mission field with more 25,000 people coming through the hospital each year and 100’s of staff.
