Greetings in the name of Jesus,
The community project at Chankosa continues. This past summer we saw all the grade 7 pass into grade 8 – that’s a first for this community.Â
We have 201 children in school this year, we will target to roof the toilet block do some work on the old school buildings once the next container arrives have more reading books, school, supplies and uniforms brought in. But overall the school is a part of the community
The grocery shop is going well the business was very slow January and February when the country was experiencing 25 percent plus inflation. But things have stabilised and doing better, there has been some extensions on the shop and new bicycle repair shop has sprung up even though not a pretty build I am so excited to see natural expansion and growth of the business. This simple though not pretty is a testimony to mind set changes that break poverty.
We had a medical outreach this week, there has been savage outbreak of malaria and sadly no medicine until now but we are blessed with some passionate nurses who refused to take “no” for an answer and got the community 150 courses of medicine for malaria. To have others to have heart for people in the village is a huge blessing and an answer to prayer.
